The RCMP has issued a warrant for a Surrey man who was living Nanaimo for breach of probation conditions.
David Robert Lawson, 36, is considered by police as a prolific offender at high risk to re-offend.
Police did not disclose what types of offenses Lawson was on probation for.
"He was living in the Rosehill Street area of Nanaimo, but has since left that residence and we have now been advised by the Surrey RCMP that he is wanted on two counts of breach of probation," said Const. Gary O'Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman.
Lawson is Caucasian, 5-feet-8, 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes and has the name Tyrone tattooed on his left wrist.
