UPDATE: The 44-year-old woman who had been missing has been located and is safe, say Nanaimo RCMP.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: The RCMP hope the public can help them locate a woman who hasn’t been seen over the past two days.

Nanaimo’s Jolene Nass, 44, has not been heard from since Sunday, Jan. 2, and is considered missing.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, a 911 call was made from a phone registered to Nass at 1 a.m. Sunday. Operators made multiple attempts to call the number back but were unsuccessful, possibly because the cell phone was turned off or the battery died shortly after the call was made.

Investigators believe Nass may be driving her vehicle, a 2004 grey Saturn Vue, with B.C. licence plate KX3 45G.

She is 5-foot-6, 140 pounds. Nass is currently of no fixed address but does have family and friends who reside in the Parksville area.

Anyone who has information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2022-97.
