UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP say missing Nanaimo woman, experiencing homelessness, found safe and sound

UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP has reported that the 27-year- old woman, reported missing on Dec. 4, has been located safe and sound.

The press release credited the work by the Nanaimo RCMP Bike Unit, which “… relentlessly scoured the streets and parks of Nanaimo in search of her and were rewarded for their efforts by locating her early this morning,” Dec. 10.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing woman who has been experiencing homelessness.

Family members said they have not had any contact with Montana Stevenson, 27, since October and that she has been living on the streets for some time, noted an RCMP press release. Police were also told that Stevenson has been associating with individuals of “questionable character” and, for those reasons, they are worried for her safety and well-being.

Stevenson is 5-foot-8, 145 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair.

Anyone with information on Stevenson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2020-43398.
