UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP have reported the 30-year-old woman reported missing Jan. 18 has been found safe and sound.
PREVIOUSLY POSTED: RCMP are asking for the public’s help to locate a Nanaimo woman who has been dealing with “personal issues” of late.
A 30-year-old of no fixed address hasn’t been heard from since Jan. 11, and her family contacted police Jan. 18 which triggered a missing person’s investigation, noted an RCMP press release.
“[She] has recently been dealing with some significant personal issues. As a result, her family and support network are concerned for her safety and well-being,” noted the press release.
She is 5-foot-7, 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She may also be sporting a piercing located just below her lip. Police say she is associated to a red 2004 Monte Carlo; the vehicle, however, has been found parked in south Nanaimo with no plates attached.
Anyone who has information on the missing woman’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2023-1931.
