Lantzville residents will have a chance to ask questions about a new water supply deal, during a public information session this October.
Lantzville council has opted to hold its first public information meeting on the water agreement, Oct. 15.
The rural district signed the 20-year deal with the City of Nanaimo on Sept. 10, which could see water pumped to 225 homes in upper Lantzville at a $1.3-million connection cost. It also allows for 50 new development hookups each year and the potential for another 211 homes on private wells to connect to the future.
