According to his family, he had been staying at an area motel, but when they went to check on him, found he wasn't there, although most of his belongings were still inside the room.

Kruse is relatively new to town, the press release said, and is not known to frequent emergency shelters. RCMP says its investigation will concentrate on the downtown core and Harewood.

Kruse is described as Caucasian, standing 5-foot-10, weighing 150 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
