Nanaimo Mounties are asking for the public’s help to find Roy Ostling, 62, of Nanaimo.

Ostling has been missing since May 29 and was last seen by his roommate as he left their home – the last time anyone is known to have seen him.

Police said Ostling has no drug, alcohol or medical issues and has never left for an extended period without first telling a friend or a family member. His family and friends have had not contact with him, there has been no recent activity on any of his social media accounts and repeated attempts to contact him on his cellphone have gone unanswered.

Ostling is a Caucasian, 5 ft. 10 inches tall, 200 lbs., with blue eyes and grey hair. He wears glasses, and has a moustache and goatee. When last seen he was wearing a ball cap and carrying a black backpack. He has a valid driver's licence, but does not own a car.

Anyone with information about Ostling's whereabouts, please call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
