Diana Logan claimed a big lottery win this week.

It took a little while for it to sink in that Diana Logan had just won a life-changing sum of cash.

The 59-year-old hairdresser scratched a set of Cash for Life prize boxes revealing she won the game's top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years.

Logan bought the ticket Sunday at an Esso station on Wakesiah Avenue.

"It doesn't sink in," Logan said. "It's unbelievable. I just sat and said, 'Oh my god, oh my god.'"

Logan plans to invest some of the money and do some shopping, but admits there just isn't anything she really wants to buy. A holiday she and her husband had already booked to see a NASCAR race in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is comfortably covered, though.

Logan operates a hair salon out of her home and plans to continue with her current clients.

Logan opted for a lump sum payment of $675,000 instead instead of receiving payments over 25 years, which would have added up to $1.3 million.

"Well, who knows how long we're here?" Logan asked. "Why gamble, anymore?"
