Nanaimo water restrictions start Monday

NANAIMO – Annual summer conservation Level 1 water restrictions take effect Monday (June 1).

Starting next week, residents and businesses will have to pay attention to what days they can wash cars and water lawns.

Beginning Monday (June 1), the City of Nanaimo begins Level 1 watering restrictions. Even-numbered addresses can water on even days of the month, while odd-numbered addresses can water on odd days. Car washing is permitted on regular watering days.

No outdoor watering is permitted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Parking lot or driveway washing with tap water is not permitted during the period of restrictions.
