Nanaimo suspect caught on camera after alleged bike theft

A suspect allegedly broke into a shed in Nanaimo and stole a BMX bike, a drill and a propane tank.

Nanaimo RCMP issued a press release Tuesday, May 16, asking for the public’s help to identify the alleged suspect in the crime that happened one week earlier. At about 7 a.m. on May 9, an individual broke into a locked shed in the backyard of a residence in the 500 block of Bradley Street.

A photo of the suspect, wearing a grey hoodie, blue plaid jacket and carrying a BMX bike, was taken shortly after the theft occurred, the release noted.

Anyone with information about the identity of this person is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2023-15532.
