Bargain hunters and people wanting to sell unwanted items can head to a Nanaimo mall for a garage sale-type event on Saturday.
In a press release, City of Nanaimo said the Nanaimo Recycles Trunk Sale takes place at Country Club Centre on Saturday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., allowing people to sell unwanted household items from the trunks of their vehicles and reduce garbage destined to the landfill.
“This sale is intended to promote reuse and recycling of unwanted garage sale-type items,” said the press release. “No retail-type booths or sale of new items will be permitted. The only new items permitted for sale are items made from recycled materials.”
