The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public to help locate a Nanaimo man who has been out of contact with his family for a month and a half.

Kenneth Abramsen, 54, has not been seen nor heard from since Oct. 25 and his family reported him missing to the Nanaimo RCMP on Dec. 1.

Investigators were told that for him to have no contact with his family for such an extended period of time is out of character for him. Because of the length of time they’ve not heard from him and given that he does not have a phone and is believed to be living out of a tent, there is concern for his safety and well-being.

The missing man is 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2022-42169.
