Nanaimo corrections officers Christine Bootsma, left, Jenna Beck, Rose Humphrey and Warren Orr brought home a load of precious metals from the World Police and Fire Games in Fairfax, Va., June 26 to July 5, when more than 12,000 athletes from 70 countries competed in over 60 events.
Bootsma and Beck earned silver in doubles rowing; Beck also took bronze in the half marathon; Humphrey gold in half marathon; and Orr silver in bench press.
