Re: Advocacy group warns hospital can’t meet standards of care, April 17.
Bravo to the advocacy group for enlightening us as to what is really going on behind the scenes at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and has been going on for a long time.
It’s 2024 and the problems have become a heck of a lot worse. Patients, if there is no bed, have to sleep in a bed out out in the hallway until a room becomes open. This will greatly affect the mental health and well-being of the patient. Nanaimo Regional General Hospital must make it a top priority to access the resources to address the shortage of beds, and improve on the administration of the hospital so it runs like a well-oiled machine is supposed to run.
