Residents looking for fresh locally grown food can get the pick of the crop at the grand opening of Lantzville’s farmers market.
The market, organized by Friends of Urban Agriculture, is May 27 from 1-4 p.m. at St. Philips by the Sea, 7113 Lantzville Rd.
The market will offer patrons a chance to purchase produce, baked goods and wares crafted by Lantzville artisans. The event also features musical entertainment and children’s activities. The market is expected to run every Sunday until the end of October.
