Bill and tax payments, licensing, parking fine payments and other services for residents and businesses can again be taken care of in-person.

Business with the city is still best done online or over the phone as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, but with measures in place to keep visitors and staff safe, Nanaimo City Hall, at 455 Wallace St., and the service and resource centre, at 911 Dunsmuir St., are now open for business Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors to the service and resource centre will be greeted by an ambassador who will help direct them. Hand sanitizer and optional masks are available and lineups are marked for physical distancing.

Washrooms will not be open to the public, and during busier times, the lineup for the front counter may flow outside due to space limitations, so visitors are advised to dress appropriately for the weather.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to visit the City of Nanaimo website at www.nanaimo.ca or to to phone the city. A list of contacts can be found at www.nanaimo.ca/goto/contacts or for general inquiries, call 250-754-4251.
