Revellers will have an extra option for getting home New Year’s Day. The Regional District of Nanaimo is ringing in 2014 with free transit service for partygoers from 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 1.
There will be no transit service on Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and after 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
