Dayliner rail service replaced with bus

Dayliner rail service between Victoria and Courtenay is being replaced with a bus this week.

Dayliner rail service between Victoria and Courtenay is being replaced with a bus this week.

VIA Rail Canada suspeced the regular train service while track maintenance is undertaken by the  Island Corridor Foundation.

Work is expected to continue until Friday (March 25), with regular train service expected to resume Saturday (March 26).

A chartered bus was arranged for passengers holding tickets or wishing to travel during this period.

Customers wishing to travel but who have not yet purchased a ticket, are encouraged to do so ahead of time as space is limited.
