City officials are requesting residents keep boat launch parking areas clear for boaters at the Brechin boat ramp.
“The City of Nanaimo reminds residents that the Brechin Public Boat Launch facilities and parking are available for the purpose of loading and unloading pleasure and commercial crafts only," said Randy Churchill, city manager of bylaw, regulation and security, said in a press release. "This requirement ensures that the surrounding parking facilities associated with pleasure and commercial boat use are readily available for boat users."
Violators could be subject to a fine and have their vehicles towed.
