The City of Nanaimo is getting started on budgeting this week.
City councillors, at a series of special finance and audit meetings, will review departmental budgets and project plans and make decisions that will impact tax rates. The first meeting is Friday, Oct. 29, and there are also meetings scheduled for Nov. 3, 5 and 10 and then a budget-focused e-town hall meeting Nov. 15.
Residents will be able provide input on the five-year financial plan via www.getinvolvednanaimo.ca/budget and budget documents can be viewed at www.nanaimo.ca/goto/budgetinfo.
