Two men accused of robbing the Nanaimo North Town Centre Scotiabank branch last week were formally charged.
Joshua Clarence Roy, 23, and Nicola Antoni Skupnik, 32, have each been charged with one count of robbery. Both suspects are also charged with wearing a mask while committing and indictable offence.
The men were apprehended about 30 minutes after the robbery took place Wednesday afternoon.
Roy remains in custody until his next appearance in Naniamo provincial court Tuesday (Sept. 23). Skupnik will remain in custody until his next appearance Oct. 7.
