B.C. Ferries and union ratify agreement

NANAIMO – Company and union ratify five-year collective agreement reached in October.

B.C. Ferries announced Friday the company and the B.C. Ferry and Marine Workers Union have ratified an agreement that was reached Oct. 30.

Approximately 3,500 employees are covered by the collective agreement provides for 8.55 per cent in wage increases over its five-year term, which averages to 1.71 per cent per year.

The terms of the new collective agreement is in place from Oct. 31, 2015 through Oct. 31, 2020.
