Also, our sincere thanks to the thousands of readers who submitted votes in this year’s survey, sharing their favourites in more than 150 categories. The online survey was open for a month on Canada’s best community newspaper website, www.nanaimobulletin.com, and voters were free to choose the category winners from a list or submit write-in votes, which were subsequently added to that list. More than enough people participated in the process to make the survey results statistically significant, with worthy winners across all categories.
