B.C. SPCA Nanaimo preaches pet adoption at open house at Westwood Road site

National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day open house taking place at B.C. SPCA Nanaimo’s site until 4 p.m.

Dogs, cats and rabbits are among the cute animals up for adoption today at the B.C. SPCA’s Nanaimo shelter.

The National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day open house is taking place at B.C. SPCA Nanaimo’s site at 154 Westwood Rd. until 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, with the goal of assisting animals in finding their forever homes.

“We have 50 per cent off adoptions for all of our animals to try and get them into homes … we’re hoping to show off some of our longer-term residents, hopefully find them a good home today,” said Taylor Suther, B.C. SPCA Nanaimo animal care attendant.
