An annual fundraiser featuring sushi creations benefits an arts centre in downtown Nanaimo.
Sushi and Sake dinner and silent auction raises money for Centre for the Arts Nanaimo to support operation of Nanaimo Centre Stage, the community theatre on Victoria Road, and Nanaimo Arts Centre on Commercial Street, which houses administration for several arts groups, including Crimson Coast Dance Society and the Vancouver Island Symphony.
The theatre hosts Schmooze Productions as its resident company, with Sweeny Todd and Spring Awakening announced for the upcoming season.
The event takes place at Acme Food Co. on Wednesday (Aug. 29), 5:30-8 p.m. Tickets $20.
