Royal ballet searches for new talent

NANAIMO - Royal Winnipeg Ballet School holding auditions in Nanaimo to qualify for its professional training programs.

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division is holding auditions in Nanaimo Monday (Oct. 19).

Dancers can audition and take a master class with the instructors from the ballet school.

The auditions are at the Harbour Dancentre, located at 139 Bastion St. Ages 10-12 is 9-10 a.m. and ages 13 plus are 12:30-1:15 p.m.

The Q & A starts at 10:15 a.m. The master classes for ages 10-13 and 14 and over is 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The auditions are for entrance into the ballet school’s professional division summer school held in Winnipeg next July, which is needed to qualify for acceptance into the regular session in September 2016.
