For its next production, the Nanaimo Theatre Group will revive an “unknown play that almost nobody saw” from roughly 28 years ago. That was, until the play swept through the Theatre B.C. Awards in 1996 and garnered considerable interest.
According to a release, NTG will stage David Ives’s All in the Timing as its spring production, running April 21-May 11.
The release described the playwright’s work as “witty, absurd, interesting and funny sketches” that use small bites of pure humanity to recognize foibles and “present them on a silver platter for pleasure.”
“From construction workers perched on a skyscraper in Mere Mortals, to a laboratory with precocious primates in Words, Words, Words, – All in the Timing takes the audience on a multi-levelled dive into humour and intellect,” noted the release.
Audiences are advised that adult language will be used in one or more sketches of the production.
All in the Timing will be staged at the Bailey Studio on Rosstown Road with various showtimes at 2 p.m., 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
