The Nanaimo Art Gallery is auctioning a painting created by Yvonne Vander Kooi for last year’s Art in Public Spaces program.
The piece called Snuneymuxw, Meeting place was exhibited at the Beban Park Social Centre for the program and now is on display at the gallery’s downtown location.
Vander Kooi has lived and worked on Vancouver Island for 15 years. She owns Bird Studios, which is located at 345 Haliburton St.
The auction closes on June 8 at 4 p.m. and the starting bid is $2,000.
