The Islands Songwriting contest is accepting entries.
The theme this year is food and can cover aspects such as growing, cooking, seeds, gardening and more. People are encouraged to think outside the box.
Nine semifinalists will perform for a live audience and the top three perform at the Island Folk Festival in Duncan July 19. The deadline is June 1 and the entry fee is $25. Contest rules and entry forms are available at www.islandfolkfestival.ca.
