Alternative rock band High Love is hitting the road to promote its latest single No Longer Yours.

High Love, formally known as Rend, performs in Nanaimo on Thursday (June 15) at 8:30 p.m. the Vault Café. Admission is $8 at the door.

The tour features music from the band’s debut album set to be released this fall.

“This band wants to create music that inspires, excites and stands apart. Their upcoming record plays with the concept of contrast,” states the band’s website. “Imagine ambience to rock and roll. Organic to electronic. It showcases their alternative rock sound mixing soulful vocals with rhythmic loops, cinematic pulsing synth, gritty bass and electric guitar.”

High Love is currently one of the top three finalists in the Calgary based Prophets of Music Emerging Artist Program 2017 and top 10 in the CBC spotlight regionals.

The band won the 2016 Edmonton Music Award for Rock Recording of the Year.

The band was founded by husband-and-wife duo Jeff and Carol-Lynne Quinn. For more information about High Love, please visit
