The Vancouver Island Exhibition is a safe place to visit every year in large part thanks to Nanaimo RCMP.
The fair extended its appreciation recently to police.
“Their continuous involvement in our fair means a safe environment for all of our patrons over the three days of the fair,” said Brian Cornborough, VIEX vice-president and director of security, in a press release.
The Vancouver Island Exhibition took place in mid-August at Beban Park and has been held in Nanaimo over the last 122 years.
