Superstore, Loaves and Fishes team up for food drive

Healthy non-perishable food sought by Nanaimo food bank

With Christmas less than a week away, Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank is getting assistance with a holiday food drive.

Real Canadian Superstore, which is partnering with the Nanaimo food bank for the food collection fundraiser, going until Dec. 24, is asking for donations of “nutritious non-perishable food items,” healthy food that you yourself would eat, according to a press release. Loaves and Fishes is grateful for any healthy food or money donation and every dollar donated leads to three full nutritious meals, the press release said.

The Superstore, located on Metral Drive in Nanaimo, will have drop-off bins on site and money can be donated at the cashier.
