Nanaimo will play host to the B.C. Deaf Sports Federation’s Silent Walk and Run fundraiser, 2 p.m. Saturday (June 4) at Maffeo Sutton Park.
Participants have a choice of walking, running, cycling or skating a five- or 10-kilometre route along the E&N Trail.
Deaf, hard-of-hearing, hearing parents, sign language students, families, friends and even pets are welcome.
Pledge money raised supports deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes with training, coaching, equipment and interpreting fees.
