Seminars inform at women’s show

NANAIMO – West Coast Women's Show returns to Beban Park this weekend (Feb. 28-March 1).

A two-day show featuring products, services and information geared toward women’s interests happens Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 28-March 1).

The West Coast Women’s Show returns to Beban Park with some of the Island’s best resources for women, according to event organizer Trish Newton Segal.

Featured during two days of seminars are Dr. John Yim discussing healthy gut/healthy you; essential oils; women’s health; and a spring fashion show.

“I think it is important to create a safe place to discuss and learn,” said Newton Segal, in a press release. “This is the age of information and as women are natural gatherers the show is a perfect place to pick up information so you can make better choices for yourself and your families.”

Booths and vendors featuring gifts, beauty products, fashion and home decor will be available, including a trunk show of Joseph Ribkoff fashions from KC’s Boutique on Saturday.

Partial proceeds will go to Haven Society, which provides services to women, children, youth and families who have experience violence.
