Pink will be the colour of choice Sunday (Sept. 30) as Nanaimo residents take part in the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.
Breast cancer survivors, friends, families, supporters and volunteers will be walking or running the one- or five-kilometre route in support of creating a future without breast cancer.
The run takes place at Beban Park with final registration and donation drop off starting at 8:30 a.m.
The run begins at 10 a.m., the walk at 10:05 a.m., awards at 11 a.m. and a survivors parade at 11:30 a.m.
