This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Regional District of Nanaimo’s Golden Shoe Hunt.
“[It’s] a great way to get out and explore our entire Region,” said Bill Veenhof, regional district chairman.
Each week a ‘golden’ shoe will be hidden at one of the regional district’s parks or trails. A clue will then be posted to lead residents to the park and the shoe, which holds prizes and a log book to enter a message. All six shoes will remain in their hiding places until after the May long weekend, so there is plenty of time to find them.
Clues for the locations of the shoe will be posted weekly to www.rdn.bc.ca/goldenshoe and on the RDN Facebook and Twitter pages. Take a picture with the shoe and send to recparks@rdn.bc.ca to be entered into prize draws.
