Parks and rec seeking ideas for activity planning

NANAIMO – Ideas could be included in spring and summer activity guide.

The City of Nanaimo Parks and Recreation Activity Guide wouldn’t be what it is without community members’ knowledge, know-how and enthusiasm.

Parks and rec is planning its spring and summer activity guide, and according to a city press release, proposals from the community are “not only welcomed, but sought after.”

Anyone with a skill or talent for instructing or leading an activity is asked to submit a program proposal.

“Generating proposals from members of the community helps keep us in touch with what types of programs the people want to see offered…” said Grace Bell, recreation coordinator with parks and rec, in a press release.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 10. To access a proposal form, please visit www.nanaimo.ca/Newsroom.
