Maeve O’Byrne, president of Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation, accepts a donation of $250,000 from Lynda Avis, past-president of Nanaimo Auxiliary to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. The money will go toward equipment purchases for the foundation’s latest campaign to raise $1.5 million for the completion of two operating rooms at the hospital.
