A Nanaimo youth volunteering club will once again be trying to scare up some donations to the food bank leading up to Halloween.

Youth 20/20 Can’s annual Halloween for Hunger food drive happens Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. outside Save-On-Foods at Country Club Centre. Youths in Halloween costumes will be there collecting donations of non-perishable food items or cash for Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank.

“It’s all about helping the community. This is a good time to support the local food bank and that’s why we do the event,” said Valley McQuarrie-Salik, a member of Youth 20/20 Can and event organizer.
