Nanaimo not only has a representative on the Truck Loggers Association board of directors, he’s the only member from a domestic milling company.
Clint Parcher works for Coastland Wood Industries Ltd. in Nanaimo, a third-generation forestry worker.
He started setting chokers as a 15-year-old for a summer job.
“As a new director, my main goal for the first two years is to be engaged and understand the policy discussion process and lend a voice where possible,” he said. “This is the early stages for me, but I hope to be able to add a balanced voice and bring some more youthful insight into the organization.”
