An event with Steve Marshall Ford and Vancouver Island Real Estate Board helped raise $7,500 for Nanaimo District SPCA.
The money was raised at a Driven to Give test-drive event held on September and presented to the SPCA last month.
“Our new Nanaimo Community Animal Centre is a wonderful, humane space for both animals and public alike,” said Leon Davis, branch manager. “However its operational costs are almost $1 million annually. Without the ongoing support we get from wonderful community organizations like VIREB and Steve Marshall Ford Lincoln, we wouldn’t be able to help the many thousands of animals and people we do each year.”
