Want to take learning at your school outside?

Students can help their school win a $20,000 outdoor classroom by entering the MAJESTA Trees of Knowledge competition.

The third annual national competition asks schools to submit their ideas for outdoor learning experiences, from gardens and nature trails, to shaded study areas, interactive learning spaces and musical play places.

Once 10 finalists are chosen, Canadians will vote online for their favourite school to determine who will win the outdoor classroom.

Prizes are also available for schools that finish second, third and fourth and the school that shows the most creativity in rallying support.

Schools can apply online at www.majestatreesofknowledge.ca until Jan. 13.

The competition is hosted by MAJESTA, a household paper products company, in partnership with educational organizations Tree Canada and Focus on Forests.
