If you're planning a garage sale, the Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty branch is recommending you hold it on May 10, the day of its National Garage Sale for Shelter.
For a $25 registration fee, Royal LePage will provide signs, balloons, a donation tin and advertise your sale in the Nanaimo News Bulletin.
All registration and donation tin money will go towards the Haven Society in Nanaimo, which provides help to women, children, youth and families who have suffered from violence.
People can keep all proceeds from their sales or donate part or all of the proceeds to the society if they so desire.
Registration deadline is today (April 30).
