Quality Foods and Nored Developments put their stamp on the B.C. Summer Games, stepping up with a $50,000 donation that went directly toward feeding all the athletes at the four-day multi-sport event.
“With an event of this magnitude coming to Nanaimo, we definitely wanted to find an opportunity to get involved and give back in a big way,” said Adam Wynans, manager at Quality Foods.
The Games, which took place this past weekend, featured approximately 3,900 athletes, coaches and officials from across the province, competing at 19 different venues. It is estimated that the Games contributed $2.6 million to the local economy.
