The Parkinson’s exercise revolution is coming to Nanaimo.

The Parkinson’s exercise revolution is coming to Nanaimo with Dr. Becky Farley showing how people with Parkinson’s disease can get better and stay better with exercise.

CEO and founder of Parkinson Wellness Recovery and a University of Arizona research professor, Farley’s  community lecture series comes to town Oct. 30 from 1-3 p.m. at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre.

A Parkinson’s exercise expert with more than 25 years of clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation, Farley provides participants with an overview of safe and effective research-based exercises that target the unique physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges for individuals living with the disease and their caregivers. There will be an opportunity to try gentle movements.
