A donation from Mid-Island Co-op will provide Georgia Avenue Community School students with a sew-sew time.
The co-op presented $10,900 to the school’s Kids 4 Kids program for the purchase of sewing machines and materials, with which the Grade 6-7 children will create blankets, clothing and more.
The after-school drop-in program helps students facing challenges from poverty, family difficulties and other issues by providing health and wellness activities and positive relationships.
