Clutter conversation encourages spring cleaning

Spring cleaning strategies support Nanaimo's Radio Malaspina Society.

Anyone with a family knows that stuff quickly outgrows closet space and with the change in seasons people will soon be digging around for gardening supplies and water toys.

Alison Roberts, author of Clutter’s Dirty Secret will share strategies and storage solutions at a Spring Clean Your Closets fundraising workshop and dessert bar April 24 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Pacific Garden Cohousing, 312 Seventh St.

The event supports the Radio Malaspina Society and CHLY radio, which recently celebrated 10 years on the air.

“Sorting through our stuff and making donations to thrift shops and non-profits can extend the life of items that may end up in the landfill,” said Roberts. “We save ourselves time and aggravation when everything we need is at hand. ”

Pre-registration cost is $25 by e-mail at alison@cluttersdirtysecret.com, and $35 at the door.
