The Christmas Seals campaign will try to stamp out lung disease.

The Lung Association is trying to raise money for lung health this month with its annual seals campaign.

The association’s work funds research and education and targets chronic lung diseases such as asthma. It also seeks to prevent tobacco use and advocates for healthier air quality.

“Christmas Seals are a symbol of hope,” said Bernie Lafrance, volunteer director in Nanaimo for the Lung Association. “We thank all of our donors for their generosity and ask Canadians who are concerned about healthy lungs and healthy air to give generously to the Christmas Seals campaign.”

This year’s campaign goal is $1 million.
