Children’s workshop explains facts of dementia

Helping children and teens understand what dementia is and how to interact with a person who has it is the focus of a free tele-workshop Thursday (Dec. 15).

The workshop, for family caregivers who are having trouble talking about dementia with the children and teens in their families, is run by the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and can be accessed by telephone with an optional web component.

It gives participants a chance to interact with others in similar situations.
