Chaos rules supreme during a St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser at Vancouver Island University Saturday (March 17).

Students from the school’s department of recreation and tourism management program and special events class put their knowledge and skills into action during Celtic Chaos in VIU’s upper cafeteria from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

“Our goals are to provide a fun, safe event for VIU’s students while also raising money for our international internship project,” said student Kassandra Kirkham.

The group is raising money to help fund the Heart of Gold project, an unpaid internship for five tourism students in Costa Rica next month.

The project is a mutual research alliance, fostering student learning on a global level since 2004.

Tickets for Celtic Chaos are on sale at the Student’s Union building for $15.
